Embarking on the journey of writing Your First Steps in Banking: A Child’s Journey into the World of Money has been an enlightening experience—not only into the world of finance but also into the heart of childhood curiosity.

My inspiration comes from more than three decades of experience in the financial sector, spanning Europe, the Middle East, and the Arabian Peninsula, and culminating in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Born and raised in Germany and having lived in Switzerland, Lebanon, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the UAE, with roots in the Holy Land of the Levant region, I have gained a unique perspective on global financial literacy.

This book was inspired by a simple yet profound realization: despite the vital role financial literacy plays in our lives, it remains a subject that is rarely addressed in traditional education.
